Our team is made up of dedicated clinicians and support staff who share a commitment to thoughtful, high-quality care. Led by our principal specialist prosthodontist, Dr Matthew Ma, we work collaboratively to support every patient with skill, professionalism and respect.
Together, we work within a shared philosophy that places oral health first and allows aesthetics to follow naturally.
Dr Matthew Ma
Prosthodontist
Dr Matthew Ma has been supporting the oral health of defence members, and the local community and surrounding regions for more than three decades through carefully planned, evidence-based prosthodontic care. He enjoys working with patients who require complex restorative treatment and values a thoughtful, considered approach to achieving comfortable, long-term outcomes.
After beginning his career as a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force, Dr Ma established his specialist practice in 2000, becoming the first prosthodontist to serve the local community and working closely with referring dentists from across the Hunter and regional NSW.
Dr Ma places strong importance on education and communication, believing that patients feel most confident when they understand their options and are actively involved in decisions about their treatment. He also enjoys mentoring and working closely with his clinical team to support a collaborative and considered approach to care.
Outside the practice, Dr Ma enjoys playing tennis, following rugby union, reading and cooking Chinese banquet-style meals for family and friends.

Louise
Practice Manager
Louise brings a wealth of experience to our team, having served as a Practice Manager for 26 years. Growing up on a farm surrounded by horses, cats, and dogs, she developed an early appreciation for hard work and the importance of clear, calm communication—traits that have served her well as the dental industry has evolved over the decades.
For Louise, the key to a successful practice is transparency and education. She is passionate about ensuring patients feel empowered in their care, taking the time to explain complex treatments in layman’s terms and ensuring that fees are always as clear as possible and upfront. She views dentistry as a collaborative effort that extends far beyond our office walls. Louise prides herself on the strong professional bonds she maintains with outside specialists and their "front of house" reception teams, ensuring that every referral is a seamless transition for the patient.
At home, family is Louise’s greatest priority. She is married and a proud mother of two adult children. Having never lost her "farm-girl" heart, she remains a devoted advocate for animal welfare and is eagerly looking forward to welcoming a new rescue dog into her home very soon.
