Meet Newcastle’s Original Prosthodontist

Dr Matthew Ma is a specialist prosthodontist with a genuine passion for helping people smile, eat and live comfortably again. Known for his calm approach and meticulous attention to detail, Dr Ma takes great pride in delivering high-quality care while always putting patient comfort and quality of life first.

In 2000, Dr Ma became the first prosthodontist to open a practice in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region and remained the only specialist in the area for 25 years. Before entering private practice, Dr Ma served as a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force, where his strong sense of discipline and care was shaped. Today, he continues to serve as a RAAF Reservist and approaches every patient with the same dedication, skill and respect that have defined his career.
